USS-Miranda: A Star trek Blog

So let’s talk about Star Trek Discovery (or DIS because ST:D is a bad abbreviation)  Discovery and me have a love hate relationship. I love that we have a new Star Trek show coming out, but I hate that it’s so re-imagined. Now I hate Discovery, and when I say this the first thing I usually get is “It’s because there’s a woman captain right?” my answer to this is well this image…. After that its normally the race card. My answer to that is a long rant about how DS9 is my favorite of the six Star Trek series and how the show was built on diversity and if your stupid enough to say that then you don’t know Trek. Also, one day I’ll have a long blog post about how amazing Captain Benjamin Sisko was compared to the other captains.          But back on course, I hate Discovery for how far it goes beyond the continuity. Hello, and welcome to the USS-Miranda. Here I will review, rant and analyze my way through the Star Trek universe and look at the amazing amount of content available within the Star Trek universe. Who am I you ask? Well I’m Sam a lifelong Star Trek fan who after months of ranting on Facebook has been pushed to create a blog as a way of sharing this with the world. Before we get going let me be clear I don’t think I’m right. A lot of what I’ll say here is my opinion and should be taken as such. I love trek and no matter what the writers do ill pony up the cash to watch any new Trek series or film that comes out no matter how bad it is. So let’s get going on this five year mission to explore lore! To seek out new content and new ideas, to boldly go where many trekkers have gone before!
